Kate Maloney Wins Ernst & Young 2010 Entrepreneur of the Year!
by Chajiko on Tuesday, June 8th, 2010We are proud to announce that our very own Kate Maloney, CEO of Costume Craze, has won the 2010 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award! She competed against retailers in Utah and Idaho.

The awards ceremony was held in the grand Salt Palace Convention Center in downtown Salt Lake City and was preceded by a cocktail reception, after which all the excited nominees and their guests, the sponsors and other attendees all crowded into the posh and elegantly appointed ballroom for a sumptuous meal and the presentation of each nominee and the award for each individual category.
After a dinner of fillet mignon, butternut squash and fennel and other unusual fare, each category was presented with short video segments of each nominee in which his or her business was described, and a winner was then chosen from those presented. As Kate’s nomination came up (she was lookin’ good in that Ghostbusters costume in the video, I gotta say!) we all held our collective breaths—and released them in a thunderous cheer a few minutes later as our very own Kate Maloney was announced as the recipient of this year’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award!
The accomplished trio!
We made a little bit of a mess with our noisemakers and confetti, but the outpouring of enthusiasm was definitely warranted!

Needless to say, we are all more thrilled than we can say and are so proud that Kate’s hard work and dedication has been rewarded in such a fulfilling manner.

Way to go, Kate!!
Congratulations, Kate, Kathleen and Matthew Maloney!

The proud crew!
